26. Paste the feet on the back of the penguin. The feet should be pasted on the edges of the black paper as shown. Fold the feet out in front of the penguin.

USING BLACK CONSTRUCTION PAPER

When you have learned how to fold a penguin J with folding paper, try making one with black (12" x 12") construction paper. You can make a penguin about 10" high with this size paper. You will need orange scraps (2½" x 4") for the feet, and white drawing paper (9" x 3 ½") for the breast of the penguin.

Fold the penguin following the steps in diagrams 1-17. Fold the white paper in half lengthwise, then open it. Put a little paste on the edges. Slip it on the body for the breast, and staple under the head. Then go back to diagram 18. When finished, paste or staple the wings and neck together. Make the feet and paste them on behind the white part.
